The Institute has joined the fourth annual Workplace Giving Month program, with the ‘One Million Donors’ campaign aimed at increasing charitable donation rates in the workplace.

The goal of the campaign, run by the Australian Charities Fund, is to help all working Australians understand that giving to society through their pre-tax pay is an effective and meaningful way to donate.  Its aim is for one million donors to be giving through the workplace.

Institute CEO Lee White says workplace giving is an initiative the Institute has long supported.

‘The Institute’s Everybody Counts Program is important in promoting corporate responsibility and encouraging employees to demonstrate organisational values.

‘We are proud to be involved in the ‘One Million Donors’ giving movement and I encourage all business leaders to endorse workplace giving to help realise its full potential,’ he says.

More than 80 companies and charities are involved in the campaign, including the Commonwealth Bank, SEEK, Collins Foods, Val Morgan and Foxtel.
