Finalists have been announced for the 2017 Workplace Giving Excellence Awards, recognising leadership, innovation, collaboration and best practice by employer and community organisations. The finalists are:

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday, 2 November 2017, at the Australia Post Offices, 111 Bourke Street, Melbourne.

The entries were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges with considerable experience across corporate, philanthropic, government, community and academic sectors:

• Judy Barraclough, Head of Strategy & Philanthropy of The Smith Family
• Sarah Davies, CEO of Philanthropy Australia
• Carolyn Hewson, Director of BHP Billiton Ltd. and BHP Billiton Plc
• Prof. Kristy Muir, CEO of The Centre for Social Impact
• Dr. Tim Reddel, Group Manager, Policy Office Department of Social Services

Jenny Geddes, CEO of The Australian Charities Fund, says, “In this, our second year of the Awards, we are encouraged by both the increase in the number entries, as well as the high quality of the programs nominated. About One Million Donors
The Workplace Giving Excellence Awards are part of the One Million Donors campaign that was launched by The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull, MP, in 2014. The campaign’s mission is to see one million Australians donating to charity direct from their pay by 2020. Workplace Giving is ‘the smart way’ for working Australians to donate to charity – watch the ad to learn more. The campaign is spearheaded by The Australian Charities Fund and supported by high profile employers and charities, as well as leading community organisations.
