ANZ has a rich history dating back to 1835, when it was established in London under Royal Charter. Social responsibility is not scarce in this history as ANZ has committed itself to helping Aussies through many crises, such as bushfire and flood relief and, recently, economic support during the COVID19 pandemic.

ANZ now operates in 33 countries, recently celebrating 50 years of operations in Japan.

The leadership understand the importance of workplace giving as demonstrated by ANZ CEO, Damon Kitney:
“The program makes it is easy as it’s done through payroll, it’s pre-tax & we can triple the impact because we double-match staff donations. That means for every dollar an employee donates through the program, we donate an additional two. The money goes directly to the charities, there is no third party involved, so it is a practical & beneficial arrangement.”
