Adam Ognall, Executive Director Engagement, Philanthropy Australia

Adam is Executive Director Engagement at Philanthropy Australia. He was appointed in April 2022. He leads the peak body’s engagement work with its members and the wider philanthropic sector to inspire more and better giving.

Prior to this, Adam has spent most of his career in the for purpose sector in the UK. For a decade he was chief executive of a human rights charity that made grants and provided capacity-building services to civil society groups in Israel and Palestine. Prior to this he was Deputy CEO of UK Sustainable Investment and Finance (UKSIF), the mission-driven peak body committed to growing responsible and sustainable finance.

Adam has served on a number of voluntary boards including as Chair of the award-winning The Bike Project, a UK charity that supports refugees.
